I accidently unpluged my iPod nano while it was charging?

When I plugged the usb in the computer, it only stayed in for about 20mins so it didn't recharge fully. I'm now waiting until it dies down again. Is that ok, or is it like a cell phone, and it will shorten the battery's life?
