Why won't my Nike+ sensor work anymore?

I recently bought a new Nike+ sensor for my iPod touch, and was using it for about 2-3 days just fine and dandy. I haven't abused it or anything, it hasn't been subject to any hard wear at all, but it suddenly stopped working yesterday. My iPod touch simply won't detect movement with it anymore, at all. I've restarted/recharged my iPod and everything, but no dice. I've even walked a good mile or so without the sensor being detected at all. What might be wrong, and what could I do to fix it?

Car battery died. recharging question?

so i left my light on from 5pm yesterday all throughout the night. i tried to get my car started but its dead. Ofc im going to have to jump start it. im not too intelligent when it comes to cars but i have a question concerning use of the battery after jump start. will i have to get a replacement after i jump start this battery from death because im not sure how it works...does recharging bring the dead battery back to life and good again or am i on limited time before it dies again? i understand the alternator is what recharges the battery when the engine is on so will i not have to worry about getting a new battery once i recharge and let the car run for a bit? any answers will be appreciated. please be serious and non-rude. you might know a ton about cars but not everyone does so sorry if this sounds like a stupid question to you.

White horizontal lines on still images taken on Ricoh Caplio R5. Movie clips not affected.?

Fault appeared suddenly in middle of photo shooting. 'Still' pictures taken before fault occurred display perfectly on camera's monitor. New pictures appear for a fraction of a second before being obscured by white horizontal bars; images can be seen faintly behind the bars, like looking through venetian blinds. When uploading onto a pc, the pictures have the bars across. Camera had not been dropped, had been in use minutes earlier without any problems. I've tried putting in different memory card, recharging battery. One other thing - when I noticed the fault, I took out the battery and the tiny clip that holds the battery in place snapped off. It did not fall into the camera, and the camera still works without it. Movie clips can still be taken and display correctly on the monitor and when uploaded.

DIY dehumidifier ideas wanted?

During the summer it costs me more than a dollar a day (250 KWHr/month) to run the dehumidifier in the basement. Being a green kind of guy, I wonder if there's a way to dry out the air using the solar power that's abundant during hot humid weather. I don't have a problem with coolness; it's 60 degrees down there. My thoughts are: use an air-to-air heat exchanger to just heat the air (thus reducing the %RH); using a dessicant wheel that's recharged using solar heat (I've seen some commercial units, but they're too big); or using an absorption cycle cooler that uses a solar collector (has to be high temp); or a thermoelectric cooler run by a PV panel (not good efficiency). So, any more ideas??

1993 Dodge 250 diesel, won't start?

I started the truck for work, in the morning and everything was fine. I went to start it on my lunch break and it won't start. It was acting like the battery was dead, so I had the battery recharged at a shop and the battery is fine. I hooked it back up and the truck did the same thing. It is spinning the fan about a quarter of the way when I try to start it and if I turn the key at a rhythm it will continue to spin it a little but it is acting like it doesn't have enough juice to turn the engine over. The starter is the original I think and the battery has 850 cranking amps and 730 cold crank amps...the glow plugs are pretty new and the oil is changed regularly. I just can't figure it out. Advice?

I know there's a lot of questions like this one out there and I recently commented on one, but I don't use my cell phone very often and with all the different opinions about cell phone usage and cancer, I figured I'd ask anyway. I think last month I used a total of 12 minutes on my phone, but most of the time's its in my pocket and I generally forget its there. If not in my pocket, I have it under my pillow during the night because I use the alarm function and if I leave it out somewhere else its really loud and wakes up other people (I have 2 pillows on my bed, but its under the one I don't rest my head on). Sometimes I leave it there for days if I don't go out of the house (or I just forget its there) and eventually the battery dies and I have to recharge it. Bottom line, is that healthy?

Question about powering an electric car?

If an electric car has an altenator and a stored power sorce that needs to be recharged couldn't you just add a second power sorce and altenator. A sensor could switch the first power source off when its at like ten % power at which point the second altenator would then start recharging it while the other source takes over and just keep switching out. i dont know much about electric cars or how big their power cells are but this seems like a good idea you could go much farther for longer periods with cleaner energy. 2009 nissan altima starting problem?

Twice my altima has not started, once a couple of years ago and again yesterday. Brought battery in, charged it and starts OK. What I did notice this time is that the brake pedal would not depress while the battery is flat,so that the push button starter will not activate. Is this a reason for non-starting or is it the result of a flat battery? Now that the battery is recharged the pedal depresses as normal. One would think that in some way the battery and brakes are electrically connected.

Personal debate on which branch to go into(Army/Marines). Need experienced opinions, mainly spec-ops or grunt.?

Hello to all who reads this.I'm seventeen years old and have been debating for years which branch to go into after high school. My main interest is Special Operations(CCT, Seals, Rangers, etc.) but I've narrowed it down to either Army or Marine Corp. The reason I'm not considering CCT or SEALS in this is because those both require 20/20 vision, which I lack, and get lasik is a long drawn out of choosing another mos, where I can wear glasses, and then once I get to my permanent duty station request lasik where once my vision is squared away I can go and request to go to my ideal profession. The drawbacks to that is I'm stuck doing a job I didn't intent on doing and there is only a chance that lasik will be granted, or I get deployed and never really get the chance to put in an application. The other option is to scrounge up the money to get the money to buy lasik myself (which could take months if not years), get the surgery, and then wait another 6 months or a year for the military to say I'm healed enough and then I could try-out. I lack the patience to want to go either of those routes so I look to the Army and the Marine Corp to satisfy my needs. In the Marine Corp I'm currently looking at the mos of 0321(Reconnaissance Man). I'm aware that one can't get that mos at the beginning and that I would have to choose another in case I fail. If my local Marine didn't lie to me to go recon the dudes that look for applicants go to SOI(School of Infantry) and they ask "Anyone want to try-out for recon." If you say yes they out you into recon indoc where if you pass they take you out of SOI and put you into the Recon pipeline. I'm aware BRC(basic reconnaissance course) is one big suck-fest, and again I'm going off of what my recruiter told me, it's basically BUD/S(basic underwater demolition training) except of wearing a wet-suit you wear combat gear and carry a ruck. On the Army side of things I was considering trying to go Ranger. I understand that Ranger School is a combat leadership school and won't make you a member of the 75th ranger regiment. If my research is correct to go 75th I need to get an Option 40 in my contract, I was also thinking of mos 11B(Infantryman), 13F(Fire Support Specialist), or 68W(Combat Medic). If my understanding is correct RASP (ranger assessment and selection program) is again one big suck-fest, but I can't seem to find any memoirs or actual testimonies of what actually happens during RASP. To be a Ranger is more of a challenge than it is to become one if research is right. My Army recruiter didn't know jack-**** about Rangers and assumed I didn't either so If you have info on that let me know. Now for the debate, the famous question. Army vs. Marines. I seriously don't care about anyone's personal bias and any comments like "Army is for ******* go Marines" and vise versa is irrelevant and unwanted. I'm looking for a challenge, adventure, and self-reliance in the wild and I'm aware both branches can provide. My real concern is which gets more time out in the field. The last thing I want is to be stuck in garrison while the other guy is kicking-doors and doing his job. The other concern is if I wish to make a career out of this is the levels of advancement. With Army there is Special Forces and Delta and I'm aware Marines have Force Recon and MARSOC. If anyone has any good info on that it would be appreciated. My Marine recruiter told me MARSOC is force recon ecxept under SOCOM command and there what he called "long-haired marines." My true want from the comments below is the personal experience of someone who's been through one of these things, or both even better. First-Account info is what I seek. I'm a 19 year old girl... and all my friends have had their acne problems through high school, but have gone away now (i still don't know what their skin looks like without makeup)... I had fairly clear skin back then, but ever since the last 1 1/2 year, my skin has started to break out, especially right before the time of the month. I do everything I can; my diet is very healthy, exercise everyday, sleep well, i'm not stressed out, I wash my face twice a day, moisturize once a day and use a toner...etc. I basically fool-proof my skin but every few days I always get at least one or two new pimples! I envy my parents, as they don't really care about their skin or diet yet they have flawless skin without having to use any products. I don't want my skin to clear-up in their age, lol. I really hope that it will in the coming years. So from experience, do you know if acne problems usually do go away later on? If so, at around what age did your skin clear up?

I bought this for my son for his birthday. I worked great the first day. The battery ran out so I recharged it according to the manual-14 hours. I then hooked it back up. It ran good for 5 minutes then stopped, started, stopped started.... How do you fix a jailbroken ipod?

My brother gave me his old ipod touch that was jailbroken, I didn't like all the stuff he had on it so I went under settings the other day and clicked reset ipod content or something that told me it was going to erase everything on the ipod and it could take up to an hour. The damn ipod took about 4 hours before it was done. Now when i click to turn it on I get the apple symbol for 2 mins then it turns into a face of a skull or something and it wont turn on.
