Is it okay to recharge a pair of batteries with 2 different brands?

I was wondering if it is okay to recharge 2 batteries with different brands. Since you can't recharge only one battery, we have to use 2 and i was wondering if one of the batteries in the pair is an Energizer battery and the other is durecell. is that ok to do?
