Welding pipe 5G Stick (PipeLine Welding)?

I would like to know if anybody has any advise in how to weld pipe in 5g. I am interested in welding in the Pipeline field and was wondering if their are any experienced pipeline welders that could offer some pointers. I am an upcoming welder and don't know how to go about getting started in this field. I have a basic understanding that 5g weld requires Root, Hot-pass, Fillers, and Cap..! Can anyone provide me with some instructions on how to weld 5g step by step..
