Vehicle sound system problem?

ok so to put things as short as possible, i got a new battery, got professionally wired, i have 1 farad cap, 2 12" kicker comps and a 400 watt kicker amp. Now for the problem, everything is ok for a few days then i go to turn on my stereo and boom, fuse blows in the amp. could it be the cap needs to be recharged or the amp??? i know its not the wiring thats for sure.
