The pokeradar is used primarily to get shiny pokemon. Ok, in order to chain pokemon you must use the pokeradar. When the grass shakes, you go to that grass patch. You will encounter a pokemon. You can either kill it or catch it. If you run away, the chain will break. If you kill/catch it, after the battle, more grass will shake. Now, you must pay close attention to what patches shake. There are many different kinds of shakes. Your goal is to go the same grass patch after every battle. Around your 40th said battle, there is a good chance you may meet a shiny pokemon. Here is where you must pay even more attention to the grass. If you can youtube the video of a shiny grass patch, you will know what one looks like. What most people do on the 40th chain is constantly recharge the battery and use the pokeradar again and again under they find the shiny patch. Even though you can use your bike to chain, it is not recommended. And it is also good to buy lots of max repels for chaining.
