I really like this girl but don't really know her...?

K so theres this girl I really like and Ive really only said hello to her a few times, and I really want to ask her out. I would try getting to know her more b4 I ask her out, but Im pretty shy which I could work at but Im probably only gonna get one more chance to talk to her b4 I go away to work for the summer. And it might seem kinda weird that I would be trying to get a girlfriend b4 I go out to the middle of nowhere to work on a pipeline, but I would give up the job in a heartbeat if she became my girlfriend. I mean Id wait at least another year b4 going out to work so that I would know her well enuff. And now to actually get to the point, Im just wondering how other girls would react to the following. My plan is to start off with talking to her about tonights hockey game ( vancouver vs Boston) and if she watched it, in which I would then ask her If she would want to go to the next stanley cup playoff game with me. So if a guy you didnt know all that well, but u knew they werent a creep asked you to a stanley cup playoff game, would you go???
